Ben's WX Summary
- Updated: Wednesday @ 11:07am
Looking at a blustery day out there today as low pressure slides by to our northeast. This will generate gusty offshore winds with good cold advection. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 30s this afternoon with northeast winds gusting 15-25 mph at times. Winds will decrease tonight along with the temperature as lows drop into the teens and 20s. The offshore flow will weaken slightly tomorrow, allowing temperatures to make it back into the lower 40s, but still brisk. Northeast winds will also continue 5-15 mph with stronger gusts below passes and canyons. As this low exits to the east on Friday, high pressure will build in from the west, leading to fair and warmer weather through the weekend. Daytime highs will reach the mid-50s by Sunday with overnight lows generally in the 20s. At this time, it looks like above normal temperatures and dry weather will be with us through next week, with possibly some changes around the middle of the month. Snowmaking should be great through tomorrow round the clock for local resorts, which will be open for business by the weekend!
