Ben's WX Summary
- Updated: Thursday @ 10:33am
Still looking at very nice late spring weather across Southern California, with near-normal temperatures expected locally through the weekend. High pressure will weaken just a touch through the end of this week as another trough develops along the West Coast. This will bring some minor cooling over the next few days, then much warmer weather is on tap for next week. Statistically, July and August are our hottest months of the year, but recent years have proven late June can be just as hit, and we are in for a pretty major heatwave next week, summer officially arrives on Sunday. Expect sunny skies today with highs in the mid to upper 70s, breezy with east winds 5-15 mph, turning southwesterly this afternoon. Mostly sunny and continued breezy tomorrow with highs in the mid-70s, west to northwest winds gusting 15-25 mph at times. Little change over the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 70s, while overnight lows generally cool to the 40s. West winds will continue 10-20 mph during the afternoons. As high pressure settles into the region next week, expect a major warm-up with daytime highs reaching well into the 80s, possibly nearing 90 degrees later in the week as our forecast remains dry.
